The flaw to that logic is Rutgers. If the B1G was likely to pull in . . .


any other ACC school, they'd have never opted for Rutgers. They settled for RU because she was the only date that would say yes.

That showed the strength of the ACC. Lose Maryland? Yawn . . . . no big deal, we'll get Louisville, and have basketball hold serve, strengthen football, baseball, and a host of other sports.

Everybody has known since the BE days, Rutgers brings the NYC TV market in theory only. They aren't consistently good enough in ANY sport of interest to TV, therefore they don't pull in casual viewers. All Rutgers did was give PSU fans a close road game to go to.
